Introduction to Australian SAA Certification

Standards Australia International Limited (SAA) is Australia's only Standards certification body. All electrical products are required to have a Safety Certification (SAA).

Inspection institutions through the destructive test of electrical appliances, check the safety and reliability of electrical appliances, such as in the transformer, need to withstand 3000V voltage, check the safety performance of electrical appliances.

Check the electrical structure of the power supply to see if there is any leakage.

At present, there are two ways to apply for SAA certification in China. One is to transfer through CB test report. If there is no CB test report, it can also be applied directly

The Australian Standard begins with "AS" and the Australia-New Zealand Joint Standard begins with "AS/NZS".

The standards of Australia and New Zealand are basically the same as those of IEC, while there are some national differences.

Australia and New Zealand promote a common standard and mutual recognition of certification, so that products can be sold in another country after being certified in one.

Submit the report and data to the issuing body for certification

Issuance agency audit documents after the issuance of SAA certification mark

Compulsory or not: Mandatory + voluntary

Validity of the certificate: up to 5 years

Factory inspection requirements: none

Holder requirements: need to be a local registered company or local agent holder

Australian SAA certification matters needing attention:

1: SAA certificate number is printed on the inner package label of the product

2: All labels must be in English.

4: Electrical parameters AC240V/50Hz for AU; AC 230V/50Hz for New Zealand
