CPC Children's Product Certificate

CPC certification means the issuance of a written Children's Product Certificate (CPC) in which the manufacturer or importer certifies that its children's product complies with all applicable children's product safety rules (or similar rules, prohibitions, standards or provisions of any law enforced by the Commission) for that product.
Children's Product Certificate (CPC) is applicable to all products that are mainly targeted at Children aged 12 or below, such as toys, cradles, Children's clothing, etc. If produced locally in the United States, the manufacturer shall be responsible for providing the Certificate. If produced in other countries, the importer shall be responsible for providing the Certificate.
In other words, a cross-border seller who acts as an "importer" and wants to sell a product made in a Chinese factory to the United States will need to provide a CPC certificate to Amazon as a retailer/distributor.

Sellers selling children's products must demonstrate in a written Children's Products Certificate (CPC) that their children's products comply with the applicable children's product safety rules based on the test results of a CPSC-accredited laboratory.
