Malaysia SIRIM Certification

In 1998, Malaysia established a new regulatory licensing framework under the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 and established a new regulatory body, the Communications and Multimedia Commission of Malaysia (MCMC).
Wireless product standards, certification and testing programs, and import and export management are developed by MCMC.
The certification control is controlled by Sirim QAS. The wireless products apply for SiriMR certification in the Malayan Multimedia Communications Council (MCMC). All SKMM registered and certified products need to stick the MCMC logo before they can be listed in Malaysia.

The SIRIM application process:

Malaysian importers register PLD on Sirim website

Submit the TCF document of the product

Submit complete EMC Report RF Report LVD Report

The SIRIM COC certificate was obtained after the approval of the Malaysian Communications Commission

For each batch of shipment, the Malaysian importer shall register the serial number and apply for the import license (clearance certificate).

Label: Contains the SLP ID of the Malaysian importer

Label: should be marked with the country of origin "Made in China"
