American Luminaires Energy Efficiency DLC Certification

The full name of The DLC is The Design Lights Consortium.
A voluntary Energy Efficiency certification program sponsored by the Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships (NEEP).
At present, the lighting products involved in DLC certification mainly focus on outdoor commercial lighting and industrial building lighting, such as outdoor wall lights, garage lights, industrial and mining lights, outdoor LED lamps and LED tubes and other lighting products.
Test items: total luminous flux, magnetic luminous flux, life, luminous efficiency, color temperature, color rendering index, power factor, harmonic distortion.

DLC applicable products:

1. Tunnel lighting fixtures

2. Airport lighting fixtures

3. Outdoor wall-mounted area lamps

4. Landscape/emergency floodlights and spotlights

5. Oil station lights/parking lot lights

6. LED panel light

7. Traffic lights


Energy Star Certification

Energy Star is a government program developed by the U.S. Department of Energy and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to better protect the environment and save Energy.
It was first introduced to computer products with the participation of EPA in 1992.
Now into the scope of this certification products have reached more than 40 categories, such as driving power supply, household appliances, heating/cooling equipment, electronic products, lighting products and so on, at present in the Chinese market to do the most is driving power supply and lighting products.
Energy Star provides online assessment tools that enable businesses and consumers to rate the efficiency of homes and industrial facilities.
Energy Star ratings have become an important part of consumer and business purchasing decisions.
More efficient buildings, applications, and hardware mean greater savings in heating time or electricity costs.
Energy Star now covers more than 40 product categories, focusing on:

Computer and office equipment: such as touch screen, telephone, fax machine, copier, computer, etc.

Household appliances and similar household products: such as induction cookers, air conditioners, washing machines, refrigerators, rice cookers, etc.;

Heating and refrigeration equipment: heat pump, boiler, central air conditioning, etc.

Lighting and power supply: such as household lamps, mobile power supply, adapters, etc.

Commercial food equipment: such as commercial mixer, commercial dishwasher, etc.;

LED photoelectric performance introduction:

LED photochromoelectric performance measurement, the system can accurately measure the photochromoelectric performance of LED devices, modules, arrays and whole lamps.

Test items: luminous flux, light intensity distribution (light distribution curve), related color temperature, color rendering index, spectral power distribution, peak wavelength, color coordinate,light efficiency energy.
