PSE Certification

Product Safety of Electrical Appliance & Materials (known as "fitness inspection" in Japan) is a mandatory market access system for Electrical products in Japan, and an important content stipulated in the Electrical Appliance Safety Law of Japan.
At present, the Japanese government according to the Japanese "electrical products safety law", the electrical products are divided into "specific electrical products" and "non-specific electrical products", "specific electrical products" including 115 products;
"Non-specific electrical appliances" includes 339 products.
PSE includes requirements for both EMC and Safety.

All products belonging to the catalog of "specific electrical products", to enter the Japanese market, must be authorized by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan third party certification body certification, certification certificate, and on the label with a diamond PSE logo.

The products belonging to the catalog of "non-specific electrical products", entering the Japanese market, must go through self-testing, confirm in line with the technical benchmark of Japanese electrical products, or entrust a third party certification body to test, obtain a certificate of qualification, and there is a round PSE logo on the label.

PSE certification application process:

1. Application for PSE certification

2. Factory Inspection Questionnaire (Specific Electrical Products)

3. Applicant Manufacturer.  A copy of the business license of the manufacturer

4. Product Manual

5. Same - Explain the differences between different types of products in the application unit

6. List of key components or main raw materials

7. Product size drawing.  General assembly drawing and dimension drawing of each part

8. Authorization certificate from the manufacturer (if applicable)

TELEC Certification

(Telecom Engineering Center) is the main registered certification body for radio equipment compliance in Japan.
The Japanese Radio Law requires type approval (i.e. certification of technical compliance) for specified radio equipment.
The certification is mandatory and the certification body is a registered certification body recognized by MIC for the specified radio equipment range, also known as MIC, RF, Giteki.
Technical aptitude certification, similar to domestic SRRC certification, TELEC certification in accordance with Japan's Radio Law, the specific test specification is to follow MIC (Japanese Ministry of General Affairs) Notice No.88 regulations.
Produced in Japan according to the requirements of Japan's Radio Law.

TELEC certification process:

1. Prepare materials and samples, and fill in the application form

2. Preliminary test samples and review materials in testing institutions' laboratories

3. The institution formally applies to TELEC

4. TELEC reviews submissions

5. Sample test

6. After passing the test and document review, the Japanese MIC institution will issue TELEC certificate
